JD2010 STEERING CLUTCHES

The John Deere model 2010 crawler used quantity 8 fiber discs, p/n T14340 in all their steering clutches. The steel separator plates varied in quantities, some using 8, and some using 7 of the T14339.

For the 2010 crawlers up thru serial number 42000, 8 steel plates were used. For machines with serial number 42001 and up, quantity 7 steel plates were used. All used the same plates p/n T14339.

     Bimetallic friction discs for the JD2010 eliminate broken teeth and greatly reduce the chances of frozen steering clutches.  Bimetallic steering clutches can also be washed.  The coefficient of friction is increased by approximately 3%.
