The steering clutches for the International
model 500, 500C, and 500E series crawlers were derived from the earlier TD4 and TD5
crawlers. The 500 and early 500C's (9" diameter discs) crawlers used 7 fiber discs
675848R2 and 6 steel discs 635384R1. The later serial numbered 500C's and all 500E's (9
15/16" diameter discs) also used 7 fiber discs 676834R2 or (R1) and 6 steel discs
676833R2 or (R1) on each side. We supply new after market replacement DISCS, DRUMS,
BRAKE BANDS, PRESSURE PLATES, HUBS and BASE PLATES for both styles of clutch packs.
Occasionally we get calls regarding "complete" steering clutch kits. The term,
"Complete Kit", is misleading because it implies that the parts supplier knows
what you need for your clutch. They don't!! (And...not all"Kits" being offered
by different parts suppliers are even the same!!)
We take the menu approach. This gives you, the equipment owner or repair shop, the right
to select only the items that you need to make your repairs. You're the boss and we will
try to help you control your bottom line costs!
